Network maintenance at a 3rd party caused increased network traffic to our Network core which caused a loop in our virtual environment.

Incident resolution
Network technicians found the originating traffic and blocked it.

Root cause analysis
The traffic from the 3rd party caused a loop in the network stack for the virtual environment, causing some services to be unresponsive.

Preventive actions
Sensa is looking into ways to prevent these issues from reoccurring.
